Matt is a professional entertainer, born in the Entertainment Capital of the World – Las Vegas. As an industry veteran, he has enjoyed success both on and off stage with various projects including starting an indie record label at 19 years of age, being a signed artist on RCA Records, and performing 1980’s music since 1995 with his tribute band, 80's Station (formerly known as Loveshack).
His company, New Moon Entertainment, launched in 2015, has inspired corporate clients such as Expedia, Wacom, Porsche, and Amway to celebrate in style.
An expert in graphic design, event production, audio-visual and musical entertainment, Matt is truly a renaissance man in the special events arena.
President Elect: Candie Beane, DMCP

With more than 19 years of destination management experience in Las Vegas, Candie Beane, DMCP is the Vice President of Business Development for Hosts Las Vegas, a Hosts Global member.
Well-versed in all aspects of DMC sales & marketing, creative services and onsite logistics, she’s held almost every position during her career. She enjoys building relationships and bringing a client’s vision to life.
Her solutions-based approach allows her to support her colleagues, clients and partners with a positive attitude and genuine desire to help. A graduate of UNLV, Candie sits on the board of ILEA Las Vegas as the Director of Programs and has been a member for 3 years.
She enjoys traveling, camping, great wines, golfing with friends and absolutely loves spending quality time with her husband Scott and two beautiful daughters.

Combining her talents for creativity and logistics, Amanda is sure to make your event a success!
As an Operations Manager at Hosts Las Vegas, a Hosts Global Member, she has pleasure of planning a wide variety of events all over the exciting city of Las Vegas. There’s never a dull moment! Amanda is a proud graduate of the University of Las Vegas with a Bachelors of Science in Hotel Administration with an emphasis in Meetings and Events Management.
When not hard at work Amanda enjoys travel, the theatre, jazz music, and going on local epicurean adventures.
VP of Programs: Sage Hunt
Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce
Sage is a graduate of UNLV holding both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and Master of Education. She began her career as a middle school Special Education teacher and cheerleading coach, but ultimately decided that her passion lied in special events. Sage’s entry to her second career landed her as an events and marketing coordinator at a local food and beverage establishment. Quickly Sage’s talents allowed her to progress to become a Sales Manager with the event rental company, Just Bars.
Always striving to learn more, she continued her education at The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) in Las Vegas where she received her Conference Management & Event Planning Certificate. Sage continues to develop and grow in her career and is now managing events for the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce.
Sage can be found on the weekends at concerts and music festivals with her boyfriend, Andy, or snuggling with her pups, Duncan & Leo.
VP of Communications: Sebastien Thevenin
After completing an MBA in marketing and business management and a successful career in his native country of France, Sebastien decided to move to the United States in 2015 to challenge himself even further.
He is currently the Event and Film Sales Manager with Airstar Las Vegas and is responsible for lighting up some of the most unique and mind-blowing events in Las Vegas.
In addition, Sebastien is a lighting designer and a fine art photographer.
Sebastien also proudly serves as the current Honorary Consul of France for Las Vegas and Southern Nevada.
When not at work, you can find him somewhere into the wild either hiking or skiing.

Leslie is a Las Vegas native with an extensive hospitality and sales background.
Currently, she is an owner operator of Joy Squad Photo Booth Experience, an interactive photo marketing company. She loves traveling with her business and for pleasure. Always seeking exciting adventures wherever she lands and trying the best local foodie spots.
Hopes to be on The Amazing Race one day!
Director of Membership: Mandy Weiss

Mandy Weiss, our Director of Membership, comes to us by way of chasing a dream.
Mandy was born and raised in Michigan where she received her Bachelor's degrees in Marketing and Logistics with a Music minor from Central Michigan University. The day before graduation she was offered a position with C.H. Robinson, a worldwide logistics firm, where she spent 11 years. While working at C.H. Robinson Mandy planned events for her clients and vendors and realized her passion, her dream, was hospitality. Visiting her mom in Vegas in 2017 Mandy discovered TISOH (The International School of Hospitality) and knew her dream of making others happy was just beginning. While attending TISOH Mandy was asked to be a part of the IMEX 2018 Future Leaders of America Forum, be a student representative at NACE EVOLVE Conference in New Orleans, and was awarded a Timothy S Y Lam Foundation Scholarship for an ILEA membership. Completing her studies at TISOH in May of 2018 Mandy now works at Westin Lake Las Vegas as a Convention Services Manager.
Mandy is currently the Director of Membership for ILEA and Vice President of the TISOH Alumni Board. She has been a resident of Las Vegas for 2 years and wakes up everyday with excitement knowing she is a part of this fantastic industry. Mandy's first networking event in Las Vegas was an ILEA meeting in 2017 where she says "I was hooked. I knew this was the place and people I wanted to start chasing my dream with." Mandy's long term goal is to take over the special events world, but for now she is happy to make you happy!

Hospitality, Event and Entertainment Executive with over 17 years of experience. Started professional career traveling the world for 6 years working for an all-inclusive worldwide resort destination, Club Med. Began as an audio engineer and was quickly promoted to Director of Entertainment overseeing the daily entertainment of 7 resorts in 5 countries.
Came to Las Vegas and spent the first 6 years as a Special Events Manager, Audio Engineer and Entertainment Manager for the 5-Diamond Venetian Hotel Resort Casino.
Was with Encore Event Technologies as the Director of Mandalay Bay and Bellagio Resort and Casino for 5 years and most recently as the General Manager for Shepard Exposition Services.
Has worked and produced events with many celebrities and politicians including President Obama, Joan Rivers, The Killers, Backstreet Boys, etc
Also the Chairman for the Entertainment Committee for Cirque du Soleil’s annual charity event “One Night for One Drop” where we have raised over $36 million dollars since 2013.
Director of Programs: Rachel Matsukawa
Hello! Las Vegas
Rachel was born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Oahu and moved to Las Vegas in 2015. She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she holds a degree in Fashion Apparel Product Design and Merchandising.
Rachel joined Hello! Las Vegas in September 2015 with six years of experience managing events at Hawaii venues.
She quickly gained experience in the Las Vegas industry and is well versed in all aspects of the DMC sales, operations and Creative services where she is currently an Event Designer for Hello!
She is very excited about what this year has to offer and absolutely loves working in the event industry!
Director of Education: Amber Belt
A Reno native and University of Nevada, Reno graduate, Amber began her hospitality career as an event coordinator for a little wedding venue in the heart of Reno, Nevada. An emerging talent for orchestrating a friend’s wedding turned into a passion for bringing each client’s vision and dreams to life. Her continued ability to ensure each event unfolds flawlessly has earned her recognition as everyone’s best friend. Her professional career began as a Wedding Planner and Manager for Fig Tree Catering.
Upon relocating to Las Vegas in 2015, a proven track record of dedication and attention to detail over the years earned her a title of Senior Event Producer at PRA. Amber has learned how to plan, develop, and execute high level events. Her favorite part of her job is receiving handwritten letters at the end of the program from clients that she displays around her desk, and creating long lasting friendships with anyone she crosses paths with. Amber will continue to support, enhance and elevate the integrity of the creative events industry, as your 2019 Director of Education.
Director of Communications: Monica DiRenzo
Originally from Philadelphia, Monica brings years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, with specialties in sales and management. As the recipient of the Spirit of NACE Award and Volunteer of the Year Award for her work with Win Win Entertainment, Monica is passionate and driven - and she looks forward to bringing these skills to her new role at AFR.
She has sat on both the Philadelphia and Las Vegas Board of the National Association of Catering and Events (NACE) and enjoys attending industry events with her friends and colleagues. Before moving to Las Vegas, Monica was a client of AFR's and brings an in-depth understanding of client needs and how to provide them with the best service.
When she's not at the office, Monica enjoys spending time with her adopted Yorkie, Elvis, volunteering with the Miracle League of Las Vegas, attending live music and sporting events, and cooking. In the future, Monica plans to travel to Europe, road-trip across the US, and eventually have a backyard full of puppies.

Los Angeles native Claire Friday comes from an extensive production background with credentials as an entertainment industry administrator and involvement in the staging and production of televised events, corporate events, live stage performances, and operas. Ms. Friday’s impressive resume encompasses over 15 years of experience in production for theatre, opera, dance, television, and live events while working with some of the top talent, producers, clients, and directors in the entertainment business.
Claire’s impeccable attention to detail and management skills come from administrative experience in the business end of the arts, as well as the production side in the staging of performances for opera, live theatre, and television. She has contributed her work to many high profile venues including the Dolby Theatre, Warner Brothers Studios, The LA Music Center, The Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and The Kennedy Center. She has also traveled to various locations throughout the United States and Canada to production manage and produce live theatrical and corporate events.
